Nichols was a reporter for NBA television broadcasts for TNT which included the playoffs, regular season and all-star broadcasts. The work she did for TBS also included golf and baseball coverage, and Final Four broadcasts by CBS. It was only the 2nd time in its 42-year history that women were selected from more than 200 nominations.
